ABOUT CHIEF WHITE
Police Chief James P. White is a lifelong resident of the City of Maplewood. Chief White graduated from Bishop DuBourg High School, received his bachelors degree in Political Science with a double major in Criminal Justice from Central Missouri State University. Chief White received his masters degree from St. Louis University in Urban Planning.
Chief White was appointed Chief of the Maplewood Police Department on June 6, 1999. Chief White worked for the St. Louis County Police Department in various capacities for 30 years.
Chief White is a member of the Missouri Police Chief's Association, International Association of Chief's of Police and the St. Louis area Police Chiefs' Association.
Chief White and his wife Lucy have five children.
