During power outages, City Hall has served as a cooling/warming center for citizens.  Please contact City Hall if you are seeking help for yourself or your relative and staff will assist you with the details, (314) 646-3607.

Please read the following information carefully regarding Storm Damage Pick-up and Snow Removal:

STORM DAMAGE PICK-UP

If you have tree limbs that have fallen in your yard during high winds, severe thunderstorms, heavy snowfall or ice storms, here is the city’s collection policy for tree limbs from trees located on private property:

The Public Works Department will pick up limbs that can be moved by one person from the yard to the tree lawn (the lawn between the sidewalk and the curb):

v     If the limbs will not fit within the tree lawn, pile limbs in the front yard behind the sidewalk.

v     Disposal of entire trees is not permitted.

v     Residents have seven (7) days after the storm to place limbs at the tree lawn.

v     Public Works will make one pickup per household.   Thereafter, disposal of limbs and brush must be done through Allied Waste, or the resident may hire a tree-trimming contractor to handle the disposal.

This policy became effective in September 2006.  Please call the Public Works Department at City Hall at (314) 645-3600 with any questions.

SNOW REMOVAL REMINDER
If possible, during and for 24 hours after snowfalls, do not park your vehicle on the street.

This will allow the Public Works Department to plow and spread salt closer to the curb.

The Public Works Department does not widen plowing paths and does not clear driveways after snowfalls.

Fewer vehicles parked on the street means speedier snow removal operations.

Your cooperation is appreciated.

Please call the Public Works Department at City Hall at (314) 645-3600 with any questions.
