Route 66 Memorial and Tribute Plaques
The Original Route 66
Now you can get your kicks in Maplewood as you stroll down Manchester viewing the Route 66 Tribute and Memorial Plaques, a trip through history and down part of the famous roadway.  We celebrate the Maplewood businesses that were a part of the original Route 66 and memorialize the iconic Route 66 sites that were such a great part of this mythical road.

When you visit the 7200 and 7300 blocks of Manchester, you will find sidewalk plaques that tell the story of the Maplewood businesses that were in business when the original route ran through the area from 1926 to 1933.  You will also find a set of memorial plaques that pay homage to the iconic sites that added to the romance of the route in its heyday and brought travelers from across the globe to our neck of the woods.
