Let Them Eat Art is Maplewood's tribute to Bastille Day, it is a place where "Mardi Gras meets the Christmas Tree Walk", a self-guided tour of enchantment and excitement through Historic Downtown Maplewood's shops and restaurants. (Mapquest 7300 Manchester, Maplewood, MO 63143)

You Will Find Maplewood Abuzz With:
- Live music featuring the Zydeco Crawdaddys.
- Live music featuring Power Play Band at PNC Bank (2211 S. Big Bend).
- A Classical Woodwind Quartet Concert at 6 p.m. at Cheryl's Herbs, 7170 A Manchester.
- Even more live music with Elliot Ranney with his group Panacea, Jane Godfrey, Terri Langerak performing acoustic numbers from Classical music to Jazz to Latin style music at shops and restaurants along the event route.
- Still more live music with buskers from the Folk School of St. Louis
- A public art unveiling with Firecracker Press
- A film screening of Bill Boll's "Built for Speed" about the infamous Coral Court Motor Inn, courtesy of Cinema St. Louis. Screenings are at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. at Schlafly Bottleworks, 7260 Southwest.
- Hoop dance performances with the St. Louis Hoop Club
- Opening night for FRESH 2011: Student Photography Show at Studio Altius (2301 S. Big Bend).
- Live art demonstrations
- Dream interpretation with the Dream Seekers
- Face painting with Impish Grin

- Pre-party festivities at Saint Louis Cellars (2640 S. Big Bend) starting at 5 p.m.

The Don't Dream It . . . Be It costume contest features several categories, fabulous contestants and celebrity judges.
