Established in 1908, the mission of the Maplewood Police Department is to provide a safe and secure community for those who live and work in our city. Our commitment to this mission will be exhibited in a professional and courteous manner through interacting with the community.
The Police Department has 26 full time Commissioned Officers and one Reserve Officer. There are two Lieutenants, five Sergeants and 18 patrolmen.
The Police Department is responsible for all law enforcement and
crime prevention activities within the City of Maplewood. In addition to daily patrol activities, the Police Department conducts crime investigations and assists with residential and business crime prevention programs. The Police Department also participates in a Community Oriented Policing program and also has an officer assigned to Juvenile duties.
