Resident Occupancy Permit
Anyone moving into the City of Maplewood must apply for and receive an occupancy permit. Occupancy permits can be obtained only after a building inspection is complete. Residents wishing to update their current occupancy permit should complete the form below. The cost for an occupancy permit is $15 and payable upon approval of the application. Housing Inspection
Due to COVID-19, the City of Maplewood is taking extra precautions when conducting occupancy inspections. Enhanced Safety Precautions while performing Occupancy Inspections


Resident Pet License
The City of Maplewood has a two pet limit: 2 dogs or two cats or 1 dog and 1 cat.


Dog Park Membership
Dog Park memberships are available January 2, 2020. Please note, there are a limited number of memberships available on a first come, first served basis. **Please Note** Dog Park memberships are SOLD OUT!

  • Annual Resident Dog Park Membership (available to Maplewood and Richmond Heights Residents)
  • Annual Non-Resident Dog Park Membership


Garage Sale Permit


Building & Construction Permit (residential and commercial)
A Maplewood building permit is required for all general contracting work; including, but not limited to, carpentry, accessory structures, partial demolitions and remodeling, commercial signage, fences, patios, and decks. Electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits must be obtained through St. Louis County.
