MissionEstablished in 1908, the Maplewood Police Department exists to serve all people within our jurisdiction with respect, fairness With customer service as our foundation, we are driven by this goal to investigate problems as well as incidents, seeking solutions and fostering a sense of security in Maplewood’s residential neighborhoods, residents and business owners. We strive to develop a partnership with all members of our community. We build and maintain public trust by holding ourselves to the highest standards of performance and ethics. To fulfill its mission, the Maplewood Police Department is dedicated to providing a quality work environment and the development of its members through effective training and leadership. The Maplewood Police Department received its award for initial accreditation through CALEA, on July 26, 2014, at the summer conference in Schaumburg Illinois. The Maplewood Police Department received its award for Re-Accreditation through CALEA on July 26, 2017, at the summer conference in Providence, Rhode Island. In addition to daily patrol activities, the Police Department conducts crime investigations and assists with residential and business crime prevention programs.
The Police Department also participates in a Community Oriented Policing program and also has an officer assigned to Juvenile duties. If you have any question or would like to talk to an officer, please call 645-3000.
